Chaurasia began with a prayer. Before he began the legand asked the children to identify the 'raga'. The prayer, when it came through the greate man's bamboo reed, had the refreshing warmth of a mother's soft coo as she pleads with her child to wake up in the mornings. | | | After prayer he performed a 'bhajan'. Chaurasia said he will do it in the same 'raga' as that of the prayer, in the hope that the children would get more hints about the 'raga'. The strains of Chaurasia's flaut were now bedecked in the pitter patter of tabala. It felt as though a whole lot of shy- eyed does were hoping aout every where, filtering about like butterflies. The tabala, at times when it just could not keep its excitement in check, exploded into a mind blowing stampede of joy. | | | | | | Mrs Renjini B Nair ,PRT attended the Master Trainers Training Programme under NAEP from 20th October 2008 to 24th October 2008 at K V R K Puram Sector 8 New Delhi | |
